AfD nomination of Types of restaurants

An editor has nominated Types of restaurants, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Types of restaurants and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 18:59, 6 February 2008 (UTC)

Yellow Tanabe recreation

With new material discovered (winning an award) and a page on Shogakukan's website written about Tanabe, I have recreated Yellow Tanabe. She should now pass WP:BIO. WhisperToMe (talk) 20:57, 8 April 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Proliner

A tag has been placed on Proliner requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Lincolnite (talk) 14:40, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

Help with SVG images

Hi, there's a MediaWiki on the Project Fanboy comic book website called WikiFans, and I was wondering if you would help us get the images used in common templates up and running on there. The SVG files are really throwing us for a loop and we're not sure how to make them work. Thanks. Millennium Cowboy (talk) 22:30, 31 July 2008 (UTC)

Would you have a look at Template_talk:Coord#template:Coord/dec2dms/Fdms? It discusses a series of templates you made. -- User:Docu

Speedy deletion of "Sexile"

A page you created, Sexile, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a real person, group of people, band, club, company, organisation, or web content, but does not indicate why its subject is important or significant.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Thank you. «JavierMC»|Talk 05:04, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Informix logo.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Informix logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

This is an automated notice by FairuseBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. --FairuseBot (talk) 05:02, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Brockley CC listed at RfD

An editor has asked for a discussion to address the redirect Brockley CC. Since you had some involvement with the Brockley CC redirect, you might want to participate in the redirect discussion (if you have not already done so). -- Suntag 09:27, 9 October 2008 (UTC)

Geo class documentation

Hi Quarl. I see that you are not especially active here at Wikipedia anymore. But you (and anyone else who watches this page) are welcome to come and comment at MediaWiki talk:Common.css#Geo class documentation, since I am planning to move the geo class documentation that you added back in 2007.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Collabnet logo.gif)

Thanks for uploading Image:Collabnet logo.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:32, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
